I just bought a Sansa Clip +. I see tht it is supposed to work with MAC OS, but not with I-Tunes. I do not know how to put Windows media player 10 or 11 on my MAC. I could just return the player, but I think it will be good for my execise needs…
What options do I have here? Why is the player not campatible with I-Tunes?
I am NOT very tech savvy, so any response will need to be explained in a very simple way (sorry). My OS is 10.7.4 (the latest version). Thanks in advance for any help I may be able to get with this.
You don’t need iTunes OR Windows Media Player. Just navigate to where the music files are located on your Mac and drag & drop (copy & paste) them to the Music folder on your Clip+ (attached in MSC mode). No “managing” program needed.
Note that Macs usually insert a “Finder” file for each actual file. These have the same file name but are 0kb. They will confuse the player so you need to remove them. There is a program written for Macs that will do this for you. I can’t remember the name of it at the moment, but you should be able to Google for it. There was one that used to be recommended, KopyMac, but I don’t think it’s available any more.
I just connected the Sansa clip + to my computer…but I don’t understand how to change it to MSC mode - the directions I see on the internet seems to mostly be for a PC. I did D/L the “hidden cleaner” program, but I guess I don’t use that until after I put files on the player.
OK - I found where to select the MTC mode, but I don’t see wherer the palyer is being recognized by my MAC. I turned off the Sansa and turned it bak on again, but that did not help. :confounded:
The player needs to be set to MSC mode for the usb mode for your mac to recognize it. You select it on the player by choosing settings, system settings, usb mode.
I have a Sansa Clip which works fine with my iBook G4. I recently bought a new Macbook Pro and cannot get it to load. I have it on USB/MSC mode. Any ideas?
