well i have had my blue 4GB sansa clip plus for a few weeks now, and i have a 32 GB micro in it. I have 25.5 GB used up so far. but i seem to be having a problem these last few days it has been freezing, and of course i have to hold down the power button for a while and then turn it on and it forgets where it was at, so it goes to the place i was before. Now i just wanted to know if this is common or if i should ask amazon to replace it. and help is much appreciated!
It could be either a corrupted file (or files) or an un-readable ID3 tag.
ChkDsk can check for (and sometimes repair) corrupted files. MP3Tag is a great tag-editing program.
Thank you for your help. ok i will do the check disk in a little bit but for now i will do the tag editor. what do i do? how can i tell if there is a bad tag or whatever? does the program tell me if its bad or not? It started alittle after i put on this one album so i will check that. and it was a weird Kbps like 150 instead of 128 which i usualy have. could that do it?

That could very well be the problem. I’d start by taking that one off the player, restart and run it a bit to see if it still acts up, or plays normally. 150 is not a valid kbps; there’s 128, 192, 256 and 320 in the .mp3 format. Where did you get this album? Was it from a legit online download site or some P2P or torrent place?
i got it from my cousin through dropbox. so idk where he got it. but i reformated it to 128 kbps so i will see if that helps. and ill let you know if it works. thanks for the help!
First, try the player without the album on it. If everythings’ OK, then go ahead and put it on. It may or may not work, but at least then you’ll know where the problem is.
ok that sounds like a good plan thanks ill delete it now and then later ill put it back on if it goes back to normal.
