I bought a Sansa clip 7 months ago as it suited my budget and was ideal for what I needed - infrequent use whilst running and walking to work. 7 months on it has just died on me. To all intense purposes, looks like it’s charging but when disconnected, there is no power.
After reading on here that “SanDisk is proud to offer world wide support services for the wide variety of its products that are available in today’s market”, I am very disappointed to report that I have had absolutely no response whatsoever to 2 emails that I have sent enquiring as to how I go about getting a refund, in the absence of a receipt for the local store where I purchased the item. Funny that.
Interesting to note also from other comments on the forum that the average age of a clip is about 3 months.
Very disappointed all round and would not purchase Sansa again.
This is the broken battery wire syndrome. If you search on this topic youll find you can fix this problem if you are carefule or get some help taking apart the player.
I’m sorry to hear you are having trouble. I can tell you my clip is over a year old and I use it daily and love it. Looks like you have already had some help here. I have to say that Sansa takes better care of it’s customers than any other electronics company I have worked with. They offer great ongoing support in the way of constant firmware upgrades and fixes. These forums provide a great chance to get support from people who have the clip and may have had similar problems too. I hope the broken battery info helps you.
