Sansa Clip in Car: which adapter to use please?

I just bought a Sansa Clip, my very first MP3 player.  I would like to listen to it in my car, through the radio.  The salesperson sold me a “iTrip Auto Universal Plus”.  There is a regular sized USB connection on this device and a headphone connector on this device.  So it looks like I should be able to charge my Clip in the car using the converter wire from small USB to regular USB.  It also looks like I should be able to transmit from the Clip through the headphone jack into my car stereo.  My first question is:  Can I listen and charge at the same time?  I suspect the answer is no, because I cannot listen to it while it is connected to my computer via USB.  My second question is: Can anyone verify that this device will work (before I open the package)?   Thanks for your help.

I have a follow up question. Is the clip compatible with the devices designed for the Sansa e series or c-series?? I see that Griffin makes an fm transmitter and charger that fits these. Will it fit the Clip, too??

The data cable for a USB port on a computer is slightly different than a car adaptor’s… The Clip will play and charge at the same time with most if not all car chargers.

I have several older model fm transmitters which have only a couple of frequencies which the transmitter can use but I believe that since the transmitter just plugs into a the earphone plug on the device then is should work. I havent tried it on the clip yet but I will see if they work. BTW does the clip have any external chargers like an ac adaptor/charger or a car charger specifically made for the Sansa Clip?
