Sansa clip 8gb volume control

ok i recently got the new firmware as i couldn’t play my music at all and i had the option to change my volume from normal to high which i normally have. the update wiped my library off my sansa and also removed the option to make my music louder as the normal setting is too low. any help would be much appreciated
