the message windows give is “Disk in Drive I is not formatted. Do you Want to format it now?”

If i say yes then it opens the format dialog box where is shows me the following things:

Capacity: 4.03MB

File System: FAT

On Pressing START button to format it says “Windows was Unable to complete the Format”.

one more thing it doen not give me any other option like FAT 16 or FAT 32 etc.

HI TRIED EVERYTHING. I TALKED TO THE CUSTOMER REP. ITS TOTALLY DEAD. GOT IT CHANGED IT FROM THE DEALER. THE SYMPTOMS WHICH LEADS TO CONCLUSION THAT PLAYER WAS HAVING HARDWARE PROBLEM IS.

GO TO MY COMPUTER. RIGHT CLICK THE DRIVE ICON CORRESPONDING TO THE PLAYER. GO TO PROPERTIES AND SEE IF IT SHOWS SIZE = 0 BYTES  IT MEANS PLAYER HAS HARDWARE PROBLEM. THEN THE ONLY SOLUTION IS GET IT REPLACED FROM THE DEALER.

ANYWAY THANKS FOR THE HELP BUDDY.
