Sansa Battery Won't Charge?

Hi all

I’ve had my Sansa Connect for a little over two years now. Today I connected it to my computer to charge and the Sansa screen and lights started to flash. I moved it to a different USB port and it stopped. However the indicator shows the Sansa as being fully charged while the screen says “Low Batt: Charging”.

I’m going to leave it plugged in for a little bit longer but does this mean my Sansa has finally died? It did ‘die’ on me in Jamaica but as soon as I found a sale on an mp3 player it started working again. I’m in Europe right now so I’m limited to only charging my mp3 through the computer.

You can always try full shutdown (hold the power button for about 8-10 seconds till the display changes from saying it’s sleeping to shutdown.  Then plug in to USB and be patient while the 5 balls slowly appear, and it gets recognized).

If jj2me’s suggestion doesn’t work out, and you’re going to be in Europe for a while and find yourself coming into a little bit of cash, you can always go to a local store that sells MP3 player accessories and get yourself an AC->USB power adapter.
