I bought a SanDisk SDHC 4GB card for my camera. When I insert it into my Acer aspire laptop my laptop doesn’t recognise that it has been inserted. I have had previous SanDisk SD cards, all of which my laptop have recognised. What is the problem with this one?
If your laptop is an older model, it may not be SDHC compliant. Were the other cards you used successfully SD format (2GB or less)? 4GB and up are the SD HC format and may have come out after your computer was manufactured.
I believe there’s a Windows update you can get on Microsoft’s website that will add the SDHC compatibility.
