Connect the drive using a different port and then see whether the issue is resolved?
Also, try connecting the drive on a different system altogether to locate whether the fault is in the system or the drive.

First, check whether the SanDisk external hard drive appears in Disk Management. To do this, right-click the Windows icon and select Disk Management from the menu. Once the window opens, look for your SanDisk portable SSD in the lower section of the screen.
If the SSD is listed but doesn’t have a drive letter (such as F:), right-click the drive, choose Change Drive Letter and Paths, and assign a new letter.
If the SanDisk SSD does not appear at all in Disk Management, the problem may be related to the drive itself or the connection.
