Sandisk Clip Jam not playing Audible files

I’ve just bought a new Clip Jam and trransferred aac files from Itunes. All working.
I’ve transferred audible files as well. I can see them but they will not play. “Please activate your device to play this title” is the message i get instead. I have downloaded the Audible sync app and “activtated device” as per the top right hand corner of the app. I have done this several times without succces. same message displayed. Please help if you can!
