I purchased two Sansa Fuze+ from my college, the one that I gave my husband works perfectly fine. The one that I received is havin problems. The thing is, the Mp3 player connects to my computer and it will say that it is connected and then I have the battery bar on the player showing a full green bar with a lightening bolt. So when I disconnect it it turns off and I press or hold the power button to turn it on and it will not power on. I reconnected it to my PC and then went to the properties for the player and it is showing the battery at 0% and it is red??!! This doesn’t make any sense. I also have held down the power button to reset it and that did not work and I also used the updater to update the firmware, which it successfully installed but it still would not power on. I am thinking either the battery is so low that it will not turn on at all or it is a defective player, I am hoping that it is just completely dead. I have it charging and I am going to leave it overnight but I would like some input from someone on this issue because I do not have the regular plastic packaging that it came in but I have all of the contents so if it is defective then I don’t know if I return it to the school or if sandisk will have me send it in and get a new one?? Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can give, I appreciate it.

Returning it to your school where you bought it would probably be the quickest way to get another one, but SanDisk would replace it under warranty if found to be defective too.
