problem with microSD card and loading content

I have a 4 GB Sansa Fuze player, Windows XP, and Windows media player 11.  I bought a 4 GB microSDHC card by Gigaware and inserted it into my player, which was connected to my computer. The Fuze player recognized the card with a “refreshing media” message, but my computer does not recognize the card. It does not show up on the “My Computer” screen nor does it appear on my Windows media player. My Fuze, however, does appear on both screens. How do I make the computer recognize my card so that I can load music and stuff on to it? Also, although my computer has many different card slots, and does not have a microSD slot.

Thank you so much for your help.

You can get USB and (standard) SD adapters for the micro-SDHC chip.

In MTP mode (the default mode), the uSD doesn’t show up on the PC. When you click to access the device, it then asks which memory (internal or external) you want to access.

If it’s not accessible, you can try MSC mode (Settings/System Settings/USB Mode/MSC). The Fuze should then show up as two flash drives, the 2nd of which is the uSD card.
