Out of order in my audiobook

When I plug my Sansa into my computer and look at the order everything looks good.  When I unplug it and look at the order on my device disc 10 is where disc 2 should be.  Anyone know why this is happening?

I’d say that’s because of the tags of your files and how the Fuze deals with them. ‘10’ comes after ‘1’ when sorting, and before ‘2’.

What you could try is retag your audiobook tracks, and use a leading zero for single-digit discs. So ‘01’, ‘02’ … ‘10’. That way it will sort and play in the logical order.

Thanks to my wonderful wife it is now fixed.

Here it goes…

My audio book is made up of 66 cd’s

Labeling them 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 works fine up until this point.  Now when you put 10, it sticks it right in front of 2 and so it will do the same with all the teens.  So the cd’s would go like this…

1, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 2, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 3, 30, 31…you get the point.

Solution

1a, 1b, 1c…1z, 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d…2z, 3a, 3b, 3c…
