original/included headphones

whats the name/modell of the headphones (+ the price?) , cause i wanna reorder , both of mine are only giving sound on one ear/side anymore, and the quality of them is real good

The included earphones with Sansa mp3 players are no-name contract-made ones. There is no where, or way to order the exact replacments.

SanDisk used to sell some cheap inexpensive ones like the included phones in a 4-pak for like 10 bucks, but looking today I see they are no longer offered.

There are many low-priced options out there by many different manufacturers. JVC & Skullcandys are just a couple that some people like. The problem is finding a pair that fits both your ears and your budget.

I greatly recommend that people invest in a nice pair of earbuds/headphones for their audio equipment.  It really can make a difference–hearing things that you never knew were there before and hearing the richness of music.

Phones can get expensive–but even $20-$30 phones can add to the listening experience, and $40-$70 phones can really be sweet.  Amazon.xom has some nice prices, especially with its open-box items (and you have Amazon.com standing behind the sale).

well i have those

Yes, because you have no idea who made them nor what is inside them.

Well, there are these High Performance Ear Phones (White Only) in the Sansa Store; the only ones they have right how. Of course, with no specs listed for them, one cannot really judge whether they are “high performance” or not. :confounded:

And saratoga is right, SanDisk does not manufacture headphones. They buy them from whoever will make them the cheapest and print the Sansa name on them.

well if i cannot repurchase …

you gotta slightly touch the plug-in area— so then both sides work, otherwise only one… what are the chances if i get rid of the “rubber-casing” around the plug and try to fix the cables?

PS i just took of the rubber mantle and squeezed the plastik area at the plug with pliers … so now one of the earphones seem to work without skipping

You could certainly cut the plug off (with an inch or so above so that you get the broken wire) and replace it with another from Radio Shack or the like if you’re good with a small-tipped soldering iron.

I have a pair ofcoby phones, but fm recp. not so good!
