My sansa won't connect.

Hi.

I have a problem with my new sansa connect. I plugged in the USB to the computer and everything and it indicated on the sansa display that it’s charging, but it shows absolutely no sign of recognition. I have to admit, though, that the first time it came up, it did show an ‘install now’ display and I went through the motions with it, however I was preoccupied at the moment and I don’t believe I quite read about what’s going on.

Anyway, my biggest issue is that it doesn’t show at all where my connected sansa connect is on my PC. I have no idea how and where to upload my vidoes and music files to it. Any help here?

P.S. I have the Music Jukebox and Sansa media converter installed.

Hmmm. by now should have latest version firmware, but if you just got it then maybe not.

Did you just get the Connect? What firmware version is on it? Current version is 1.1.1.50371r

There really isn’t an ‘install now’ routine necessary with WMP 10 or 11 installed.

As final resort, you can run Connect Recovery Tool to reformat and reload the firmware.

  I was having the same problem (incidentally; after installing Sansa Media Converter). Try holding the On/Off button down for 30 seconds. It will “reset” the player without losing any of your loaded content.
