I just got my Fuze and love the fact I can load Rhapsody playlists on it.
I loaded a Rhapsody playlist on it last night and listened to it and it sounded really bad. The music was really loud compared to the voices and the voices sounded like they had an echo applied to them. I played with every equalizer setting and it never sounded very good.
The reviews of this unit all say the sound is great so I know something is wrong.
Is there some reverb setting or some other option I am missing. I have heard these songs 1000s of times and know how they are supposed to sound and there is really something wrong.
I can try other ear buds tonight and maybe I’ll delete the channel and try again.
If you are hearing the music and not the voice, it sounds like you’re listening to a differential signal: the headphone plug is not all the way in, or has lost the ground connection.

I’ll check it when I get home. If it is the headphone jack not being in enough I’ll feel really stupid!!
Don’t feel bad, a lot of people post the same issue. The jack is really tight at first and can feel like the plug is fully inserted when in fact it’s not.
OK. IT WAS MY FAULT! It was just the headphone jack that was not inserted all the way. I got home and inserted it all the way and it sounds great!!!
Thanks and sorry to watse a post here. But thanks for the great help. And thanks Skinjob for the comment. I feel a little less stupid now.
What a great little player. I don’t know why this device and the Phapsody channels don’t get more great press. I ordered another one tonight for my kids!
