music files not supported

Hi i have a Clip sport with windows 8 but whenever i transfer songs from the media player to  the sandisk and i play all the songs are either like a disk skipping or (like most of them) file format not supported any help?

What types of music files are you copying to the player?

Do they have Digital Rights Management (DRM) protection?

Here are the supported file types for the Clip Sport.(with comments about DRM files that will not play).

they are mp3 files i think but ill get back with you tomorrow but pretty sure they are mp3 you see my brother has a sandisk and it works perfectly with the same media player i used i think its because of windows ten my brother got his clip sport when windows 8 came out and i got this with windows 10 could that be the problem?

I do not think your question about music “skipping” is caused by the version of Windows you use to copy songs to your player.

Maybe you could test a few mp3 files that you know do not have DRM.

Note that by default, Windows Media Player rips files to ‘protected’ .wma file format.

If you want DRM-free .mp3 files, you must change the rip setting in WMP (Windows Media Player).

how do i do that?

Do what? :confounded:

You’ve been given 2 suggestions by different people in this thread. When replying, it would be helpful to quote the person/post you are replying to. This will also save you time in getting a repsonse. :wink:

it says the copy protect music setting is off

==================

Just ABOVE that copy-protection checkbox, there is

a drop-down list under the word “Format:”.

So, choose “MP3”.

(That should then ‘gray-out’ the copy-protect checkbox,

since copy-protection isn’t a valid option for MP3-files.)
