Help Please! I ‘ve had this product for about a year and a half now and it has worked perfectly up until a couple of days ago. I recently upgraded to the lil’ monsta e250 so I wanted to regift my existing m240 to my father who doesn’t need all the extra bells and whistles. So we emptied the memory on the 240 and added his songs successfully. Now, a day later, the screen is totally frozen. It doesn’t go past the initializing stage even when I hold the power button down for 20 secs. and take the battery out like others have suggested. Is there some kind of tiny reset button located on the device or anything else that I can do to get it back working properly?
I’m having the same problem…I just loaded some audiobooks onto the device yesterday, and now when I power it on it says “finalizing update” and then powers down on its own after a couple of minutes…If I connect it to the computer it stays on the “initializing” screen for a few minutes and then powers down…and it’s not recognized by my computer…
Babaiebee03, what does the screen of the player say when it freezes? Maybe there’s a firmware update that can fix it.
I am having the same problem with my daughters m240. It isn’t being read by the computer and she just downloading songs this afternoon. The screen is also frozen. Anyone with any suggestions?
Unfortunately I’m having the same problem. Since no one has a solution I will try and contact the 1-800 number. Hopefully I’ll get some answers because this isn’t making any sense.
you will probably have to email support@sandisk.com ; as all the legacy products areonly supported by email now. (e100, c100, m200)
i just posted a thread about my solution to a similar problem here http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=m200&thread.id=1501 , so if all else fails and it’s not under warranty try it out
