I purchased the iXpand Flash Drive Luxe 256 GB and set it to automatically back up my iPhone 14 Pro when plugged in. It successfully finished a full and (a couple days later) incremental backup. I can now see my photos and other files on the SanDisk. Excellent device so far!
However, the Stats page, says:
“Since you first started using iXpand, you’ve transferred 0 photos!” followed by the red button labeled “COPY MORE TO IXPAND.”
Question: It looks like Backup and Copy are two independent features for copying photos (and other files) from your iPhone to the SanDisk drive. Would the Photo Copy feature leave me with two copies of every photo—one set in the SanDisk Backup folder and another set in a Photos folder?
The user manual is not clear on this. I just want to eliminate ambiguity and avoid duplicates.
