Is this the correct USB Drive?

Before I open the new dual USB drive that I’ve just bought, I’d appreciate confirmation that it’s the right kind. It’s the San Disk Dual USB Drive 3.0 (64GB), which is described on the pack as being for “Android Smartphones”. The assistant said it would be OK but I am confused by the mention of “Android Smartphones”. I don’t want to use it on an Android Smartphone.

In fact, I need to copy files from a new Mac Book Pro (OS 11.1), which has the new, small USB sockets 3.1. Then I want to download the files to an older Mac Book Pro (OS 13.10.6), which has the larger, flat USB sockets.

Do I indeed have the suitable flash drive for my purpose?

Thanks in advance - GITR

You do have the correct usb drive as it is compatible with many devices, which includes Apple.
The usb has a 3.0 usb connector, just like many newer devices like android ones. If you plug the 3.0 connector into an android device, you can use the usb to transfer files directly to and from the USB. That is why it says it is compatible with androids.
As long as you have the right connector, you do not need to worry about it working or not as long as it has been formatted properly and its not a faulty usb.
