I have tried several things, including reloading the driver, and updating firmware, all hints that I’ve read in the forums. All music files will download and play fine. the .wma audiobooks from library will no longer download. "Error occurred whle attempted to transfer {book name.wma}== Error details: Unable to transfer the selected title because “[Insert3] returned 0xC00D2779” . Checking here before calling Technical Support.
I had the same problem with my Creative Zen V Plus. The problem turned out to be McAfee Host Intrusion Prevention. Once I permitted outgoing TCP traffic (ports 1024-65535) from the OverDrive Media Console Transfer Wizard (TransferWizard.exe) through the McAfee firewall on http (port 80) and https (port 443) the problem went away.
Thanks for the reply. Sandisk Technical Support could not help me. I am working with Overdrive Media Console support personnel now and have tried many things but no luck yet.
A post for another player type said the following but I don’t know how to do this on the Sansa Express: "You have some corrupt DRM licenses which Overdrive cannot update. You might be able to fix the problem by connecting your player in MSC mode and deleting the “STORE.HDS” file. The file is located in the “WMDRMPD” subfolder in the "SYSTEM folder. Switch back to MTP mode and sync the files through WMP again. Note: This will also affect the licenses of any other subsciption files that you have on your player. "

The instructions you are referencing are for the Sansa e200 player. They will not work with the Express, different hardware, different firmware.
Overdrive files are WMA format with DRM licenses embedded into the files. To play the files you will need to have Windows Media Player installed so the DRM licenses can be transferred to your player. There is also a WMP security update that Overdrive requires. I believe there is an icon in the Overdrive toolbar to update WMP to add the security update.
If you have WMP 10 or 11 installed and you have the latest updates, then possibly the DRM licenses are corrupt. If that is the problem, then you should format your player to remove the corrupt files. Note: Prior to formating you may want to back-up your non-DRM files to your computer.
You will need to format using WMP. Instructions from the Sandisk website how to format using WMP are in the attached thread.

After formatting your player, try sync’ing your files again. You should be able to transfer the files using Overdrive or WMP.
I had the same problem with my Zen V+. I tried all the suggested solutions to no avail. Then I had an enlightening moment. I remembered that I had not tried the reset button (that you have to press with a pin) on my Zen. I pressed the reset button with a pin and VOILA. I reconnected to the computer and had no problem. Hope this helps someone.
