If I upgrade the firmware, will it remove all my tunes? I have seen that there is a new version so I think it could be a good idea to get the latest version.

Upgrading the firmware won’t delete your songs. It will reset some settings on the player such as USB mode. You will need to reset these.
Thankyou for your swift reply. Where can I go to learn to reset the USB mode and how can I find which other things I will need to reset please?
The other things you need to reset are language, region, etc., which the player will guide you to when you turn it on after the firmware update. The equilizer might also be rest? As for USB mode, reset it to what you had it set to before. MSC is best for use if you don’t have protected files. If you have protected files, then MTP is best.
And it’s very easy just to go through the player’s settings and reset anything–1 minute.
