I’ve been spending some time recently downloading album art, and now that i have it, i have no idea how to get it on the fuze. I’ve been using MediaMonkey to fix tags and get the art just the way i like it. But when i open Itunes and go to the album art view, its like the fixes i made in Monkey never happened. I’ve also tried using the Zune software to get some art, and it displays nearly every album art, just like Monkey. But in windows media player, every music tag is same as before which is not what i want. I’ll look at the tags and they’ll be the old ones, while mediamonkey and Zune software display the fixed/correct info. So i am wondering, how can i update the tags/art in wmp for use in my fuze? Thanks

Did you add the music in MSC Mode? If you did you could use MP3tag to update the files as they are on the player. If you are using MM did you connect the player to the computer, add the songs from the player to the library using the directory on the player or did you use the directory on your computer? If you used the directory on the computer you will need to remove the files from the player and add them again. If you used the directory on the player, then you may need to change your method in MM, by changeing the way you add it to the file (Embed or add as a jpeg)
Alright thanks for the reply. I formatted the fuze and switched into MSC. So i thought i had a great idea by syncing my music with the MediaMonkey program, but it turned out to be unsuccessful. Most of the music i synced is still missing the album art while there are only a few tracks that have it. Im very confused.

How are you adding the album art to the tracks? Are you embedding it in the metadata or are you adding it as albumart.jpg?
MP3Tag is the way to go! For albums missing the requisite art, you can use the “export art as jpg” function. I have used it in two modes, using the embedded image to export, and a simple Google > Art > drag and drop into MP3Tag method.
You can name the art “album art.jpg” or “folder.jpg”- either name works great with the Fuze.

Ah okay, just wondering, where do i put the album art images on the fuze? Since my music files have art in MediaMonkey, is there some relatively simple way of saving all of them at once or just individually? Thanks
copy and paste the files into the folders for each album on the fuze. just make sure they are labeled like bob said.
I’ve tried putting the folder.jpg files into the album on the sansa, but it never works out. I also tried renaming to album art but no go. So then i went into MediaMonkey and checked a box: “sync all album art to track folders” thinking it would help. After syncing a couple songs with MM, no success. I really appreciate the help everyone but i just cant get it to work out.
I’m beginning to think that nobody actually uses the album art.jpeg trick. They just embed album art with mp3tag and claim that folder images work just as well?

folder.jpg and embedded art tags work equally well for me on the fuze. The only slight disadvantage in using embedded art; is that the cover art doesn’t show up in album list view. It will only display using folder.jpg (and I assume using album art.jpg, though none of my art is tagged that way). I say slight disadvantage because in album list view the art is so tiny, it’s difficult to see the images anyway.
I usually opt for embedded art because I use my audio files on multiple brands of players and most like the embedded art just fine.
Having said all of that, the fuze is a tad on the fussy side when it comes to art. If the filesize and/or resolution is too great, the fuze may not show it properly. If that ever happens, I use a little utility called Easy Thumbnails to reduce the size and resolution of the cover art files. After running any problematic .jpgs through that program, I’ve never had the fuze refuse to display the album art.
Awesome. After some time with mp3tag, i managed to edit/manage album art from the files directly on the Fuze. I just edit the tags, and save them. Works very well. Thanks everyone!
