I mean, when I choose an album to play the Clip stops when the last track has been reached. Is it somehow possible that the Clip continues playing with the following album or artist (in alphabetical order) ? My iRiver H320, with Rockbox also does this.
If you have a few albums by the same artist on your clip, you can navigate to Music > Artist > NameOfArtist and select “Play All.” The Clip will play all songs in this artist’s first album on the list, then go to the second album and play all the songs on that one, then go to the next album, etc., etc.
Or, if you’re more adverturous and want to manage your music in even more detail, you could edit your Genre tags in such a way that when you select a Genre on the Clip, you will get a very specific set of albums. Say you have 8 Bob Dylan albums on your Clip, but you know you like to listen to albums 1, 4 & 7 together, or albums 3 & 5 together, or albums 2, 6 & 8 together. You could edit the Genre tags for 1, 4 & 7 to read something like “Dylan Group 1”, then albums 3 & 5 could be “Dylan Group 2” and albums 2, 6 & 8 could be “Dylan Group 3.” Then, just navigate to Music > Genres > Dylan Group 1 and select “Play All” and the Clip will play just albums 1, 4 & 7 in order. Yeah, a lot of work, but you would hear your stuff exactly the way you want to. You don’t even have to stick to one artist.
Then there’s always the option of creating a Playlist with the albums in the order you want to hear them.
