Hey, my sister has been having a lot of problems with her 4GB Fuze. She got it last spring when they first came out, and has only used it for music (wma). Eventully she got Scoshe car and home USB chargers so that she could take it on vacation with her. Ever since it has been turning off on her for no reason at all. I can only turn it back on by doing the soft key/reset thing (which sometimes doesn’t always work), but 30 seconds later it turns off again. I can’t even connect it to the computer long enough to install the latest firmware, which she’s never done before btw. I’ve tried recharging it through the computer (tried all the ports), and the wall charger, but I don’t think it’s working. It’s not the power saver, or anything else. I’ve reset the factory defaults, and even tried formatting it. Nothing has made a difference. Could the charger have malfuntioned and somehow fried something?? My sister’s lost without it, and is ready to buy an ipod! Can please someone help? Thanks!!

Thanks, but I already tried that. It turns on for a few seconds, then dies, and I have to start it up all over again.
Your Sansa Fuze may be defective, call CS for RMA.

GADDDS! Tie her up, lock the door, steal her car, something . . . just don’t let her go over to the dark side and 'drink the Kool-Aid"!
Seriously though, if her unit is less than a year old, I’d get it replaced under warranty. It sounds AFU! (just don’t mention the 3rd party charger. It probably is just coincidence, but you never know). I’d get a different one for the replacement though, just in case.
