Firmware update killed the drive?

OK had and Ultra Plus 256 for a good 5 minutes and its dead.

Updated the firmware as per the instructions and it will no longer show in the bios.  I used the Sandisk Tools created a bootable flash drive.  The update looked fine but the drive died.

Is this a common thing with Sandisk?

Also more annoyingly how does the firmware being displayed as xx.xx.xx relate to the firmware update of X2316RL  there appears to be no reference of a version anywhere.

Was the FW you had on the drive when you got it 10.03.00? If so there were a small number of drives manufactured with the wrong FW. Updating will cause the drive not to be detected after FW update. Contact SanDisk support and they will replace the SSD>
