Express Not Recognizing Playlists on Expansion MicroSD

I just got the Sansa Express 1GB over the weekend, and have pretty much enjoyed it thus far.  I’m using a 2GB SanDisk MicroSD card, and have drug and dropped folder onto it, and then used Windows Explorer (select all tracks, right click, and “Create Playlist”) for each folder.  However, if I add any tracks to any of these folders or remove and replace the card in the expansion slot, when I turn on the Express, it doesn’t remember the playlists.  They’re still there, but I cannot click on them on my computer and edit them.  Also, the songs are still there on my Express.  Is there any way to fix this?  Thanks.

Try placing your playlist files in the “Music” folder in the internal memory instead of on the micro SD card.

This should allow you to create playlists with music selected from the internal and external memory, you should also be able to edit the playlists.

Mr_Moose,

Thanks so much.  That worked.  I was just about to return this thing for a refund, but I guess I’ll stick with it.  It really is a good little DAP, and I fell for it pretty quickly…especially with the $35 price tag.

Thanks again,

Brad
