I’m in need for data recovery as one of my folders got wiped when copying a new file to it. I learned from this site, that some sd products come packaged with a 1 year license to Rescue Pro.
I got a SDXC years ago (which is the one impacted) and no longer have the package. IDK if these were supported with a license or not. I have an ‘Extreme’ one unopened that is supported. I don’t want to open it if the other one was supported. I was going to see if the company could honor a lost key. If not, then i’ll use the one i have.
Some SanDisk Extreme cards include a 1-year RescuePRO Deluxe license, but the code is in the packaging. If you lost it, contact LC Technology with your card’s serial number and proof of purchase — they might help.
If not, you can use the code from your unopened card, but only do that if you’re ready to activate it. You can also try tools like Stellar Data Recovery, PhotoRec or Recuva.
I do not depend on SD or other card type and prefer to backup to a hard disk or 2 depending on redundancy needs
