So, my clips been like this for a few days and I’ve tried everything. Putting it on hold and holding the center button, holding the power button for 15 to 20 seconds to reset it, as well as occasional pressing of the volume button. Nothing has worked and I’m saddened since I don’t have enough for a new MP3. (I was trying to save for a 32GB iPod Touch) This may be the age of my Clip, I’ve had it about a year and 7 months so almost 2 years.
Also if it helps it’s the 4GB version. It stopped working when I work up in the morning, I fell asleep listening to it and when I woke up it wouldn’t turn on.
I tried two other USBs, still not working. Even so, I’m usually able to turn it on and it just says “low battery, turning off” or something of the sort.

Try using an AC usb charger to charge it. Then try connecting it to the pc. Use a rear port if you have a desktop, or if you have a laptop make sure it is plugged into AC power before trying to connect. Also on a laptop check the power saving settings. Some settings make the USB ports revert to USB1 low power.
