Cannot delete from Clip Zip

Hello,

I recently purchased a used Clip Zip off of Ebay and I am having difficulty deleting the existing .mp3 files. I can format by using the feature on the device and I can also physically delete the files through windows explorer but as soon as the device is rebooted, all files including .mp3s are back!

The device fails to be formatted with windows and any other 3rd party applications. Different errors generally occur including one whilst using a fat32 formatter which states that the partition has collapsed…

Firmwares cannot be installed automatically or manually. They don’t have any effect on the device and just cease to exist once the player has been unplugged from the computer.

Other than that the device works perfectly fine on the 01.01.20 firmware.

Helllllp!

Tried it; tells me the disc is write protected…

Player was advertised as used but working fine.

I even tried deleting the partition with partitioning software and somehow everything on it survived.

I’ve never seen invincible files like this before.

It also does the ‘refreshing media’ thing for several minutes every start up. Do they all do this?

Apparently not.

No they don’t. Return it before it is too late and buy a “new” one.

Thanks for the advice kind sir.
