Can I change folder names? (videos - photos - music)

I sent an iXpand flash disk, filled with media files, to my stepfather, to use with his iPad Pro.

He downloaded the app, but doesn’t know how to continue.

Now he is quite old, which can be the problem, but I figured that I maybe shouldn’t have changed the folder names.

I think they were called Videos, Photos and Music, but I deleted these folders and created 4 folders with other (short, simple) names.

Could this be the problem? I.e. does the app expect certain folder names?

the only folder that needs to be the same name is the camera backup or social media backup folders. The rest can be named whatever you want them to be named.
