Just taken the player out of the box, slid a Fat32 formatted MicroSD card into the right slot, the night way up. And the MP3 player claims the MicroSD card is empty. Any suggestions very welcome. The MicroSD has about 14 gig of (legit) content on it. Tried it with 3 other cards, so it’s unlikely to be a one off.

Define "legit’. What format are the files? What bit-rate? Do they have ID3 tags? Are the tags of the proper format for the player to read (ID3v2.3 ISO 8859-1)? Did you insert the card all the way? There will be 2 faint audible clicks as it locks into the mechanism and the top edge of the card will be fairly flush with the player’s casing. What does the INFO in Settings > System Settings (on the player) show? Does it list the used or available memory space on the card?
