I’m a newby. I recently bought a Sansa Express (2GB version) and soon filled up the memory. I bought a Sandisk 2GB Micro card and at first my Windows media player recognized it. However, after attempting to syncronize files to load up my micro card, my PC does not seem to recognize it anymore! When I connect the Sansa, with card inserted, I get the Windows standard ‘searching’ icon and end up having to CNT ALT DLT to stop this. Does anyone know what’s going on? Could this be a card problem?

Hi,
I just tried things again and got the following messages.
Card was in the Sansa. Tried to syncronize and got message from W. Media “Cannot sync or burn protected file because player cannot verify that licence valid”. Also got message “Problem has occurred in obtaining the device’s secure clock”.
Again, ‘My Computer’ could not finf the device and then PC locks up. Also Sansa does nor respond when disconnected until PC re-booted and Sansa re-connected!
Lets avoid the double post, its un-neccessary. Feel free to edit your own post by selecting the options in the top right corner of the very post in question. Thanks.

Have you tried formatting both the internal drive and the SD card, using the format option in the express. This should fix this problem, also try updating to the most recent firmware as I haven’t had any problems like this and I updated the firmware as soon as I got it out the box.
