My SSD card stopped working suddenly without any warning signs, and it’s no longer recognized by my computer. I’m unsure if it’s a hardware or firmware issue. Has anyone else faced this problem or know of any potential fixes? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @harry_roy ,
Your SSD may have failed due to issues like power surges, overheating, firmware errors, or hardware damage. Check for firmware updates and try diagnostic tools. More info:
Works now? I’m glad to hear that. I actually read about similar issues in usmagazine recently, and they explained some of the common reasons why SSD cards suddenly stop working. It’s often related to things like file system errors, physical damage, or even overheating. I’ll send you the article when I find it, as it goes into more detail about how to prevent these kinds of problems in the future. Hopefully, the info will help if you ever run into this issue again
Hi @harry_roy
It sounds frustrating! As others mentioned, it could be firmware, power issues, or hardware damage. Start by checking for firmware updates and run a diagnostic tool to see if the SSD is still detectable. If not, try the steps in the SanDisk troubleshooting guide shared by @suruguri.chaithanya1 . If nothing works, contacting SanDisk Technical Support would be the next best step.
