Where to get songs

I just bought a SansaClip - is Rhapsody the only place I can download songs?  I hate to pay $120 a  year for subscription then $.89 per song.

Thanks

R

There are many places that you can get songs.  Just google it up.  If you just want to buy specific songs, you can go to eMusic, Amazon, Wal-mart, and many other that are available online or you can just ripped your old CD and then transfer it to the Clip.  There are many alternatives, you just have to search it up.

of course not… if thats the rates, you re crazy to do it.   if youre really that stupid , i hope to meet you someday-- bring all your $$

you really don’t have to be an ass about it - I simply asked for help

Amkoas,

You are really rude.  If you cannot give any advice, please do not attack people’s personally.  This is a forum to help others out not for you to trash others.  Thank you.

i wasnt trying to fray your nature… but , seriously… your first thoughts are correct, and you could use a little of your own search time and ask about specifix…

Thanks for the support KMC2005…

kmc, how delicate are you to be offended at nonsense?

Sorry guys, Been busy with CES…

Amkoas,

abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Any future infractions will result in being banned from the forum. This is a community of users trying to help users, insults are not welcome. Thank you for you understanding.

the warning should have been issued way sooner. your response is past a statute of limitations of sort.  being a smart-azz isnt abusive–its just banter…and the original post really has -0- to do w/the forum…if ya wanna ban me, thats obviously your decision; i aint gonna tiptoe… i do think that ppl shouldnt be so delicate w/cyber feelings…if i ever need help, i always search first…ALWAYS.
i do like clip very much,

Dude, it’s clear that you understand electronic devices and that’s really great–many of your suggestions are really helpful (when I can understand them).  But some others here are pleading (really) for help and don’t have your knowledge (or much at all, many admit).  And so someone’s asking where he or she can buy music files is directly on point to that person’s use of the Clip–this really just shows how much of a learning curve there is to digital audio player use for many people (which we all can forget).  When the person is critisized for that, one can really see their pain, here, even though it’s cyberspace.

And yep, you’re absolutely right about searching–but people just seem to instinctually post rather than search at so many boards, no matter how often so many of us remind people to search. There really must be something biological to it.

Back to the OP:  Amazon really has great pricing for music.

dude, the unwillingness to search the very basix come from entitlement and the idea that their time is too valuable-- i aint talkin bout in-depth , obscure searches … . on the volume complaint alone, there are 3 separate threads on the first page on the same thing w/same answers… i aint changin, i aint slowin down… ban/dont ban, whatever.

My personal favorite is amazon.com … $.99/song (usually less if you buy the entire album), no DRM.

If you like entire albums, er CDs, and have some CDs you’d like to trade for others, consider lala.com.  You post the CDs you’re willing to trade, and the ones you want, and lala.com takes care of the shipping costs, materials etc.  If you receive a CD, you pay $1.49.  Rip and enjoy.

If you don’t mind songs containing DRM (subscription), check out spiralfrog.com.  Free, with a good number of popular artists.

Then there’s music.download.com … not so many popular artists, and you have to hunt around for the downloadable MP3s versus the streams, but again it’s free.

Have fun.
