it takes approx 20 minutes for the refreshing media after i change something…is there a way to speed it up or is this normal for this size of file?
That’s pretty long. What is your Fuze memory, and the µSD card size?
If you have issues with your ID3 data (tags), this could be what’s slowing things down. In the Refresh Database operation, the Fuze is cataloguing the ID3 tag data.

thank you…i downloaded mp3tag and am in the process of reloading with the new tag…hope it works

Perfect. For your album art, it’s best to keep the source images at 300x300 or smaller. I’ve seen the player slow a bit with large jpegs. If the images are too large, it can even hang up.

Just for a point of reference, my e280 8GB player with a 16GB card (both full, maybe 200MB free on the card) takes 6 - 7 minutes to do the database refresh.
The Fuze uses the same chipset, although it’s firmware makes it a tad faster at refreshing, I believe.
