Smartware would not find my attached WD hard drive but windows ezplorer did find it. I uninstalled all WD software on my computer. Then WD Smartware was lownloaded but will not install
I’d recommend ensuring your computer is fully updated. Try installing the original version of the app that came wit your hard drive and updating from the program’s update option instead of downloading the latest update directly.
What happens when you try to install it? Do you get an error? Does it go so far and just quit? Is this on a Windows 10 PC or Apple PC etc?
Have you looked at Chapter 2 of the User Manual?
