WD BLUE SA510 500GB SSD is not detected by Kitfox

I have the wd ssd but i have made the internal ssd external by ssd box but my kitfox is not detecting it even though it is plugged in

@Sami786 KitFox is Western Digital (HDD) and does not support SSD drives. Please download and use the SanDisk Dashboard for SSD drives.

KitFox doesn’t support SSDs, only HDDs. Connect your SSD directly to a PC and use Western Digital Dashboard to check if it’s recognized, update firmware, and test its health. Also, ensure your SSD enclosure is compatible and properly connected.

WD Dashoard does not update firmware for Sa510 it repeatedly gives “Firmware update failed”

I suggest using a machine with a fresh install of Windows and use a USB box for the SA510 to update the firmware

Most likely some driver conflicts are affecting the firmware update

After a fresh install of Windows 10 and installing latest sandisk dashboard v5.0.2.3, this is what I get

any ideas? does the dashboard still work or is it deprecated?

I have retried creating a usb stick however this also fails to update the firmware. giving the same error “Firmware update failed”
