I bought a WD_BLACK SN770 1TB SSD and wd bashboard was able to detect it but not able to read the partitions, but kitfox does not even detect the disk at all.
@Omarz2012 WD Kitfox only supports hard drives.
It does not support Solid State Drives.
Please download and install the SanDisk version of Western Digital Dashboard.
If the WD Dashboard can detect it but not read partitions could it be a file system issue?
Any idea why Kitfox isn’t detecting it at all maybe driver or compatibility problem?
This could be due to partition issues, outdated drivers, or a connection problem. Check Disk Management (Windows) or GParted (Linux) to see if the partitions are recognized.
Update the SSD firmware via WD Dashboard and install the latest NVMe drivers. If the issue persists, try reseating the SSD in a different M.2 slot or checking BIOS settings. You can also use CrystalDiskInfo or HWiNFO to confirm if the drive is detected.
