I generally use the drive to back up photos and videos from handheld devices. The issue that I’m having is that every device is asking me to format the drive before I am able to transfer data to the drive. This forces me to back up the data to a main device before I can use the SSD as I intended and sort of negates the usefulness of the drive.
How do I stop the drive from needing to be formatted between devices?
You must remove hardware safely to avoid such problems, if it persists contact SanDisk technical service
I do, it’s particularly connecting it to mobile devices giving me trouble. Is it possible I’m using the wrong format?
If you have it formatted in exFAT it should not have incompatibility between devices. In Android, for example, you are also ejecting the device before disconnecting it, right?
