Unable to turn Clip + off

My clip + is fully charged and playing music. I am unable to turn the unit off at all. I have pressed and held the top button for 20 seconds. The unit go into sleep mode. When I touch any other button it lights up and shows me the song playing. I also added the latest firmware, at which point it updated and then shut down completely. I tried to turn on and it would not power up. I plugged into my usb at which point it started charging. I unplugged the unit and now it will not turn off again.

Any thoughts?

A reset can take 30 seconds or more (even a minute)–just keep that button pressed.

If the situation persists but you can start up, you might try reformatting the player under its Settings–this can clear up issues (but note–it will erase the content on your player).
