The power botton does not work anymore

Good morning, i have buyed on amazon a refurbished sansa clip + 8Gb on march 2014.
Since yesterday the power botton does not work anymore, i cannot put on or off the player nor reset it.
The only way is to plug it into charger so the player goes on and to put it off i need to choose the sleepin’ time options.
If i plug it on pc, my pc recognize it.

There is a way to solve it or it is the power bptton broken?

I have what i think it’s the last firmware 01.02.18p can i downgrade it for seeing if the power botton is back again?

Sounds like broken hardware. Firmware won’t change it, but you are welcome to try.

Go to the firmware update sticky note (near the top of the page).

Read down to the Manual installation instructions.

Copy (don’t just click on) the All Regions link to the firmware you need. Paste that onto your browser and change the number.

For instance, this is the latest Clip+

You can change the link to 1.02.16.zip, etc. and get older versions…
