Good morning, my thumb drive stopped working, it keeps giving write protection error, even when formatting it gives the same error, I’ve tried programs, commands in the windows CMD, even in the windows registry editor and nothing about it work, nor on other computers or notebook does not work, I have the sandisk cruzer fit 32gb, could help me solve this problem.
The write protect is a hardware failure, so nothing will fix it. Backup your files on it and send it to SanDisk for a free replacement.
I believe the failure is power related, too much or too little, but others have posted it is caused by excess heat.
