Cruzer glide write only?

HI,

I have had this cruzer glide for about a year now. it is a 32GB one. it has been working fine up until last week. I cannot copy files to the device or open up files. (not my main concern) I would like to reformat the drive but every time I try to do so it states that it is write protected. I cannot figure out why my device is write protected or how to take it off write protection. I was hoping someone could help. I run a windows 7 PC and a windows 8 laptop. Any help is appreciated

   Hi Evanm484,

Dear member of SanDisk Community, welcome.

Please, do not grieve friend.

If still giving write protected, is that he died, ist kaputt…

Can return it. Contact SanDisk Technical Support who will replace the device, if it’s authentic and within warranty.
