Sony Xperia Play won't read app data in new 32 GB Micro SDHC. Help?

I read that the process of upgrading to a new micro SD on Android phones only involved a simple copy and paste from the old card’s data to the new card. I got a SanDisk Ultra 32 GB MicroSDHC and after multiple tries I cannot get my Xperia Play to properly read the data from the old card once it’s on the new card.

I’ve tried formatting the card with the phone, with the computer, and nothing improves (I used FAT32 as the format). The closest I got was the app icons showing up properly but the apps force closing once I started them.

What can I do? Is there a tool that will allow me to transfer everything without screwing up path files in the process?

Thanks in advance.

Same problem with HTC Sensation XE

If anyone has an answer or solution, I’m sure they will.

However, please realize this is a user’s forum and not an official tech support forum. We don’t have all the answers. There are a great many questions/issues that go unanswered here simply because no one knows the answer. Sometimes you’ve got to break down and call SanDisk Tech Support directly. That’s what they get paid for.
