The “SanDisk” Mobile Ultra microSDXC 64GB was inserted and formatted via my Android 4.0.3 device since 01.Jul.2013, I can read and write without any issue. Not until last month, I found that my Android device was getting real slow so I try to delete photos and videos taken with USB cable connected to PC, I was responded that my SDXC was “readonly”. I removed the card and inserted into a card reader, similar error.
I tried ‘chkdsk j: /f’, I was reponsded:
“A media error has been detected. Bad sectors may be present on the volume.
The volume will be checked for bad sectors.
Windows is verifying files and folders…
Corruption was found while examining the volume bitmap.”

Sounds like the card has failed. You should contact Sandisk for a warranty replacement.
I wonder if it’s SanDisk hardware issue or Android issue, since this is my 4th 64GB SDXC to fail. Yes, a replacement can be made. But when not able to format or wipe out, my personal data such photos and videos taken are leaking out.
I’m having exactly the same problem with the 64mb micro sdxc from Sandisk. I can’t send it back to them cos I cannot delete it! It seems to be locked in read only mode.
I tried every way possible to format it or delete its content but I can’t…
SanDisk, if you’re listening, you need to come up with a solution asap! or at least acknowledge that the problem exists.
