I have a MyCloud 3TB NAS and I’m using Smartware to back up. It has been working fine until I created an additional user account on my desktop.
The software doesn’t seem to backing up the new user account. I’ve tried installing the software on the second account and running a backup, but that doesn’t work either. I’m in the process of switching to a file based backup to see if that would pick it up.
Is this a bug or does anyone know how to get this to work?
This seems to be working now. It’s almost as if Smartware needed a bit of a kick/refresh to pick up the new user account.
By switching to a file backup and including the whole C: drive and then switching back to a category backup, it made it realise that there were additional files that needed backing up.
By installing the NAS and Smartware initially with only the one user and then adding an additional user account, it doesn’t like that! I bet if you set up all user accounts prior to installing Smartware and then running it for the first time, it’II probably work. Just a thought…
