If your SanDisk Cruzer USB is write-protected and won’t format, try these fixes:

Check for a lock switch – Make sure it’s off.
Use Command Prompt – Open diskpart, select your USB, and run attributes disk clear readonly.
Edit Registry – Set WriteProtect to 0 in StorageDevicePolicies.
Update Firmware – Check SanDisk’s support page.
Faulty Drive? – If nothing works, the USB may be damaged. Contact SanDisk or replace it.
