Shufle skips like a MF'er

My Sansa Express gives new meaning to the Shuffle function. It plays 1 to 2 seconds of a song, then skips to another, on and on until it finally setles on a song and starts playing it. Usually it cycles trhough about 10-15 songs before it settles on 1.

Updated firmware, any other fixes??

The songs that skip during “Shuffle”, do they play normally if you manually select the song?

 

If they don’t play at all, then the song may be unreadable by the Express. This is usually caused the by ID3 tags of the song being missing, incorrect, incorrect ID3 version, or have some unreadable characaters in the tags.
