Screen is black on Sansa Clip Zip

I cannot get the screen on my Clip Zip to illuminate.  When I plug it into the computer it recognizes just fine. I can add and removed media as needed however the screen is black both when connected and off connection.  Not sure what can be done to resolve this issue.


The only thing I can think to do would be to try reapplying the latest firmware to the player (see the firmware upgrade sticky thread at the top of the forum)–perhaps this is a software glitch. If that doesn’t work, are you still within the warranty period (1 year U.S., 2 years EU)? If so, I would conact SanDisk for a warranty replacement.
